In 2005, Lara graduated with a Bachelors in Interior Design from Endicott College, Massachusetts. During Lara’s first seven years in the industry, she specialized in commercial design using her AutoCAD and Project Management expertise. In 2012, Lara took some time off to focus on family and have children, after which her career shifted to residential design for friends, family and referrals. In 2017, Lara turned her side-hustle and passion into a business and opened Acquire & Design, LLC. Through client relationships and referrals, plus working relationships with many vendors (including those at ADAC & AmericasMart), Acquire & Design has become a success.

Lara is also a real estate investor and enjoys giving neglected homes some extra love and attention - she enjoys working with other investors to help them do the same. Recently, Lara has noticed that her dream clients are enjoy traveling and many other luxurious things. Most of all, Lara values when clients trust her to turn their homes into amazing spaces while they focus on their jobs and having fun after work and on weekends! Lara’s hobbies include traveling, adventuring, and supporting an active lifestyle! As an executive board member of her HOA, Lara also has a passion for community. She is the founder of "7ups" group for kids ages 7-11 as well as the Vice President of the Keheley Foundation and Vice President of Communications for the Lassiter Jr Trojan Cheer Board. Lara is also a volunteer at Smile Up foundation, which focuses on encouraging children to be involved in volunteerism and community service by partnering with charities and outreach organizations, ultimately bringing a smile and purpose to the lives of all children.
